What you'll do at Choctaw Casino & Resort

  • Prep ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling fruits and vegetables.
  • Cook food using various methods—baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, and boiling—to ensure it's flavorful, visually appealing, and properly garnished.
  • Follow standardized recipes to prepare fresh, high-quality meals for guests.
  • Help minimize food waste by following portion guidelines and proper prep levels.
  • Store, label, and rotate food following Choctaw Nation food safety standards.
  • Maintain proper temperatures for serving and storing food items.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe while following sanitation protocols.
  • Support the culinary team with setup, service, and cleanup duties.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.

You’ll bring the flavor if you have:

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Current Food Safety Certification
  • At least 6 months of culinary experience or relevant culinary education
  • A passion for food prep and willingness to learn from culinary leaders

Even better if you bring these to the table:

  • Previous kitchen experience in a resort, casino, or fast-paced restaurant
  • A strong sense of teamwork and reliability in a high-volume environment

 

You will prepare multiple ingredients to be cooked to include washing, chopping, slicing, and peeling of fruits and vegetables. Cook food to include: baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, and boiling; provide meals that are cooked, tasty and visually appealing; taste foods before serving and provides garnishes for food plates. Provide high quality, fresh food to guests using standardized recipes and methods of preparation. Control the level of waste by proper production levels and converted portion guidelines. You will store and label prepared and open food following the Choctaw Nation food safety guidelines Practice proper food storage and follow suitable food serving temperatures. Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment by practicing proper housekeeping procedure cleaning while working. Provide help with set-up, service, and clean-up of food production. Rotate stock to ensure usage and disposal occur before the expiration date. Perform other responsibilities may be assigned. Speak, read, and write English Food Safety Certification Six (6) months of culinary experience required or an equivalent combination of culinary education and experience
