Your Impact
After investing intentionally in our People systems and data analytics, we are excited to level-up our processes and elevate our data analytics to move into a more proactive stance. We are looking for an experienced project and people manager to help scale our team for the future. Axon recently moved to a new Human Resource Information System, Workday. Through this transition we are reviewing our People Ops processes, swim-lanes and handoffs, critical stakeholder relationships, and Scrum/task management.
We need you to take the lead on project management and coach the team through their weekly team meetings. You will build deeper cross-functional relationships by leading stakeholder reviews and 1:1s with key leaders who leverage our solutions, as well as by helping to craft our user stories, test cases, and acceptance criteria for critical new projects.
You will serve as the partner with HRIS technical resources, business users, and stakeholders to maintain our HRIS joint project plan, while also demonstrating an understanding of our systems and data tasks. You will help Axon continue to adopt the new system by co-creating our communications and change management plan and working with leadership to critically evaluate strategic gaps where we can focus our future growth.
What You’ll Do
Location: Remotely from USA OR Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ or Seattle, WA office
Reports to: Director, People Systems & Data
- Lead cross-People Ops process gap analysis discussions
- Document system/user handoffs across the platform
- Work with business users to identify and plan for automation projects
- Conduct stakeholder reviews and maintain a joint business/technical project plan
- Advise and manage team members’ to success
- Lead communications/change management campaigns at feature release
- Assist with HRIS general project management and status updates
- Oversee creation of user stories, test cases, and acceptance criteria
- Invest in technical and Workday skills to support technical leads and advise the business
- Coordinate with Analysts to lead and document testing effort
- Scrum master
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in Information Technology, computer science, or related fields OR a bachelor’s (or master’s) degree in HR related fields with 3-5 years experience working with process improvement, systems, etc.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management
- Admin experience with WorkDay or other large HRIS provider preferred
- Experience as an HRIS or IT business analyst preferred
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Demonstrated stakeholder and people management skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment or willingness to learn
- Communication skills and change management experience
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication ability including active listening and conflict resolutions
- You love having autonomy, and can work independently while actively seeking out your team for additional questions and solutions

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 84,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 150,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 105,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 188,000 in the highest geographic market.
