Job Description
The Sr. Project Manager will play a key role in managing, supporting, and driving projects across the enterprise by leveraging project management expertise, data analytics, and engineering knowledge. This role involves close collaboration with various functional teams, including (but not limited to) Operational Excellence CoE, Continuous Improvement, EHS&S, Quality, Communication, Human Resources, and Business Unit leadership, to successfully deploy CPS and other business transformation initiatives.
The position reports to the Director of Business Transformation – Cornerstone Production Systems (CPS) and serves as a critical resource within the corporate Center of Excellence (CoE) team, providing Project Management Office (PMO) support and facilitating enterprise-level projects. A key objective is to develop and enhance project management capabilities throughout the organization by standardizing methodologies, tools, and processes, and by fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
**Please note this is a remote role that requires 50% travel including travel to Mexico.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage multiple complex projects from concept through execution, including facility layout changes, equipment installations, and process optimizations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource strategies for business/ transactional kaizens.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues to avoid disruptions.
- Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, procurement, finance, IT, and quality teams to define project requirements and align on priorities.
- Collaborate with plant leadership to validate and deliver NET Cost Take Out (CTO) savings and performance improvements.
- Provide PMO support across business units to drive standardization, alignment, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
- Track progress using key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly communicate updates through dashboards, reports, and executive presentations to leadership team.
- Facilitate alignment meetings and stakeholder reviews to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
- Standardize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices across the organization.
- Build organizational project management maturity by developing training programs and mentoring team members.
- Operate with a high degree of independence, exercising sound judgment and escalating issues when necessary.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration in both virtual and on-site environments through strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or Business Management is required.
- A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or a proven track record of leading continuous improvement projects in manufacturing environments is required.
- 7-10+ years of experience managing multiple projects and providing PMO support for enterprise-level strategy rollouts.
- Experience with ERP systems, supply chain processes, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, MS SharePoint, Power Apps, Power BI, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Experience in developing and standardizing project management methodologies is a preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
