Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strategic long-term relationships with ISPs for effective, efficient, and scalable delivery of ByteDance traffic to users.
- Work closely with strategy and engineering to support traffic management, ensuring traffic is being served to our partners in an optimal manner.
- Work closely with strategy managers to support interconnection and caching programs.
- Manage relationships with interconnection partners, coordinate upgrades, expansions, and terminations.
- Work with key internal stake holders to optimize and increase the usage of ByteDance CDN.
- Create interconnection capacity and utilization reports to identify constraints, and track progress against key metrics.
- Identify and negotiate Internet interconnection and peering, and support the team in optimizing traffic patterns to minimize unit price.
- Communicate progress and collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional teams including business development, network operations, and deployment/provisioning teams.
- Create, update, and promote internal documentation, reports, and process documents.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Telecommunications, Information Technology Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

- IP Networking and BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing in large-scale environments including ISPs, Content Providers, and CDNs;
- Capacity planning and evolving interconnections for the edge network;
- Extracting data from network tools to build traffic matrices;
- Planning server and networking capacity according to the following: (1) compute and storage components requirements; (2) cost requirements; and (3) supply shortage events;
- Driving initiatives among cross-functional teams, including defining and managing program roadmaps and milestones, defining and managing key performance metrics and success criteria, planning program launches, and reporting program status to relevant stakeholders, including executive leadership; and
- Collecting and analyzing data to anticipate, identify, and evaluate business risks and to develop integrated controls.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: International travel up to 20% required.
