Brief summary of role:
The Sr People Operations & Systems Lead will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and systems optimization within our People function. This senior-level position will focus on streamlining operations, managing complex systems, overseeing key projects, and supporting team members while handling sensitive and confidential information. We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds who can bring fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to our People Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in operations management, systems optimization, and process improvement, with the ability to apply these skills in a people-centric environment.
This is a remote position but candidates should be located in New Orleans or the surrounding Louisiana area or willing to relocate “preferred” by the end of 2024 to be fully considered.
What you’ll be doing:
Operations Management:
- Lead and optimize day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and data management.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Systems Support and Optimization
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for the People Teams core operational systems and technology platforms.
- Lead system optimization efforts, including regular audits, updates, troubleshooting and creating enhancements and solutions to improve user experience and system functionality.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and integrate new technologies.
- Handle confidential information, data sets and have firsthand knowledge of confidential and sensitive actions.
Project Management:
- Spearhead strategic projects as assigned by senior leadership.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for complex initiatives.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and report outcomes to senior leadership.
Team Leadership:
- Assist with leading and mentor a small team of Global People Operations specialist and Analyst by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Assist with conducting regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
- Identify and implement training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Process Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative processes and best practices.
- Utilize process improvement methodologies to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement cutting-edge solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with other teams to ensure seamless integration of processes and systems across the organization.
- Collaborate with Finance and other operational teams to optimize system integrations.
- Act as a liaison between departments to address complex inquiries and resolve strategic issues.
We are looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- 7+ years of experience in operations management, software support, systems administration, or similar roles, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
