Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Tax Analyst, the Tax Analyst Intern will assist with the preparation and timely filing of U.S. Federal & State tax returns. Additionally, they will support the team in preparation of the quarterly and year-end global income tax provisions. There will be additional ad-hoc projects and research opportunities as it becomes available.

This internship will be based out of our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in preparation of U.S. federal pro forma and consolidated returns
• Assist in preparation of U.S. federal compliance for foreign companies, including Forms 5471 and 8858.
• Assist in preparation of state and local income and franchise tax returns by obtaining and analyzing applicable financial data, preparing state allocation and apportionment schedules and completing required forms.
• Assist in preparation of the quarterly tax estimates for U.S. federal, state and local and franchise tax purposes.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing financial data for purposes of calculating the quarterly and year-end income tax provisions.
• Perform research and prepare calculations relating to specific tax positions, issues, and special projects relating to domestic or international tax.
• Assist in the coordination of U.S. federal, state and local and foreign income tax audits.
• Assist in tax planning focused on minimizing business related taxes.
• Initiate and assist in the implementation of departmental process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher strongly preferred
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team environments
• Able to work 40 hrs per week during the summer
