Summary:

The primary responsibility for this role is to facilitate and develop the training program for non-technical roles. This role is responsible for ensuring new hire success through daily tracking and by following regulatory guidelines. This role works closely with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to ensure the successful delivery of learning initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role will also assist in non-onboarding related trainings through platforms including, but not limited to, Alchemy, LinkedIn Learning, and KnowBe4.

Supervisory Responsibility:

There is no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide training to new and existing employees in non-technical roles.
  • Provide training in safety and tool use. Ensure employees understand proper usage of PPE and its purpose to keep them safe.
  • Assist in the onboarding process of employees in non-technical roles.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all learning activities.
  • Seek continuous improvement in course processes, learning content, design, delivery, and relevance.
  • Assist in non-onboarding training, including but not limited to compliance training through Alchemy and leadership training through LinkedIn Learning.
  • Must practice Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), good manufacturing practices (GMP), and plant policies. Must comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Rules (OSHA). Must practice compliance with all state and federal food safety regulations.
  • Must effectively manage their own time.
  • Track and communicate with all training staff on progress and concerns of new hire development with providing feedback, giving direction and coaching team members.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training through surveys, assessments, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Support the Training team with Production training needs when asked.
  • Complete other assignments as deemed appropriate by manager.

Education and/or Experience:

Must have a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution and 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have current or past experience with the Daily’s Training Team.

Communication Skills:

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess the skill set to effectively and clearly communicate with others within and outside of the Company. Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Must be able to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Bilingual is a plus.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the manufacturing industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility. The employee is required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel/hold objects, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; speak, hear, taste, and smell.
