You will lead initiatives to continuously improve quality assurance practices, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence in every aspect of the engineering lifecycle. This should have a direct impact<b> </b>in enhancing the collective productivity and innovation of our engineering processes.<b> </b>This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset. You'll be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and leading by example, ensuring that every team member can navigate their career path successfully. Your expertise will be critical in aligning QA practices with business goals, enabling seamless delivery of high-quality software solutions.<br/></p><p><b>In this role, you will:</b><br/></p><ul><li><span>Collaborate with the Head of Engineering, senior leadership, and fellow Senior Engineering Managers to shape and execute long-term strategies that support the engineering function and company-wide objectives.<br/></span></li><li><span>Lead high-impact initiatives that enhance long-term operational excellence, ensure scalability, and contribute to both departmental and organizational success.<br/></span></li><li><span>Oversee a group of engineers, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives and fostering cross-functional collaboration across teams.<br/></span></li><li><span>Conduct performance evaluations for each assigned engineer, focusing on both technical and leadership growth, while identifying opportunities for training, development, and career progression.<br/></span></li><li><span>Ensure that the engineers under your supervision have access to the resources, tools, and frameworks that improve efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.<br/></span></li><li><span>Work closely with Tech Leads, Senior Managers, Product Managers, and individual engineers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.<br/></span></li><li><span>Act as a mentor to Tech Leads, and individual engineers, prioritizing both technical expertise and leadership development to foster a high-performing talent pipeline.<br/></span></li><li><span>Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, ensuring these values are modeled and upheld across all interactions with engineers.<br/></span></li><li><span>Drive strategic planning for the engineering function, aligning individual engineering practices with broader company goals and refining methodologies to stay competitive.<br/></span></li><li><span>Define and implement an automation testing strategy to ensure scalability and reduce manual intervention.<br/></span></li><li><span>Implement root cause analysis for quality-related incidents, ensuring lessons learned are fed back into the development and QA processes<br/></span></li></ul><br/></span><br/><span id="spanreq"><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li><span>Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field</span><br/></li><li><span>Bring at least 10+ years in software development, with 5+ years in software quality and test management.<br/></span></li><li><span>Possess a proven track record in leadership or mentorship roles, demonstrating capacity for team collaboration and effective project management<br/></span></li><li><span>Exhibit outstanding communication skills, and a collaborative problem-solving ability, essential for guiding teams and facilitating individual and collective growth<br/></span></li><li><span>Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies (ideally certified) and tools like Jira and Confluence, showcasing a commitment to maintaining high standards in agile practices and continuous improvement<br/></span></li><li><span>Possess a passion for nurturing talent, fostering innovation
