Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Registered Landscape Architect to join our team working with the US Army Core in the North East, United States region. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and sustainable landscape designs for a variety of projects, ranging from urban parks to residential developments.
- Develop and execute landscape design concepts from initial ideation to final construction documents
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists
- Conduct site analyses and prepare detailed site plans, planting plans, and construction drawings
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
- Present design concepts to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Incorporate sustainable design practices and local environmental considerations into all projects
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
- Professional registration as a Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture (USACE experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp) and GIS systems
- Strong design and visualization skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations
- Excellent project management abilities, including budget and timeline management
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Thorough understanding of sustainable design principles and their application in landscape architecture
- Familiarity with local zoning laws and building codes in the North East region
- LEED AP certification is preferred
Additional Information
Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work, location of project, as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between: $80 - $110k
