Job Summary:

This position will support clinical and translational research projects focused on improving cancer care for older adults at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. This position will work closely with investigators to manage studies examining geriatric assessment, social determinants of health, treatment outcomes, and disparities in oncology. The role requires experience interacting with older adults and the ability to conduct patient-centered research activities including assessments, surveys, and interviews. This position will help ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate patient recruitment and retention, and support the overall execution of research projects in geriatric oncology.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of clinical research studies focused on older adults with cancer.

  • Screen, recruit, and consent participants in oncology clinics, with particular attention to working effectively with older adult populations.

  • Conduct study procedures including surveys, geriatric assessments, and qualitative interviews with patients and caregivers.

  • Maintain regulatory documents and ensure compliance with IRB, institutional, and sponsor requirements.

  • Manage study data collection and entry using REDCap and other research databases, ensuring data quality and completeness.

  • Coordinate communication between investigators, clinical teams, and research participants to support study implementation.

  • Assist with study reporting, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of research findings.

 

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
