Sovah Danville Diagnostic Imaging Center is seeking an experienced MRI/Rad Tech for our MRI department.  We perform general Orthopedic, Neurological, Body and Vascular outpatient exams. General work hours are daytime and evenings Monday-Friday.

How you’ll contribute 

An MRI Technologist who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

• Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

What we’re looking for 

Applicants should be ARRT certified with additional certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. If not certified in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, must be certified within one year of date of hire or transfer to position.

 Additional requirements include:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
