ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Must be able to operate a forklift truck, pallet lift/jack, reel lift, crane/hoist. 

 

1. Move wire and other supplies to maintain inventories of scrap wire and determine if the wire can be recouped and understand the principles of WWD, Dramix, Beadwire and Half Product quality checks and packing procedures.  (Will not operate the above mentioned jobs).

 

1. Must be able to operate the WWD rewinding and sorting processes.

 

1. Assists with handling customer returns and claims for HRW/BW.

 

1. Responsible for operation of the recoup/rewind/burn off processes for Dry Draw and Bead Wire (this does not include rewinding at the packing stations in BW).

 

1. Performs work assignments in designated job functions in a fully competent manner such as but not limited to rewinding, changing block bearings and length verification, if required on recoup.

 

1. Maintains proficiency in duties and responsibilities of all designated job functions.

 

1. Performs housekeeping and cleaning duties to promote 5S and safety including but not limited to cleaning machinery, docks, designated areas, emptying trash receptacles, etc.

 

1. Performs safety checks on equipment at the beginning of each shift.

 

1. Assist supervisor/operators in other assigned work that may be needed.

 

1. Identifies, properly move and store rejected material(s).

 

1. Reports unusual conditions to Supervisor.

 

1. Maintain standards throughout the plant for Safety, Quality, Production and Cost.

 

1. Assists other general laborers in performing assigned duties, upon request.

 

1. Any additional tasks assigned that are not unsafe or unethical.
