Position Overview
Fractal is looking for a proactive and driven Senior Consultant to join our Decision Science Consulting team in the San Francisco, CA area. In this role, you will play a vital role as the client and team lead with hands-on involvement in project management, business interpretation and application of solutions, client communication, insights/results delivery.  
 
This is a perfect opportunity for someone, who is looking to combine best-in-class analytics skills with strong problem-solving and communication abilities to lead analytical work to help clients solve strategic, tactical, and operational business problems. 
 

Qualifications

  • Experienced data scientist with 5+ years of experience developing data reporting solutions and strategy across digital/web marketing platforms and social ecosystems.  

  • Experience analyzing the launch of new products, services, marketing campaigns and websites 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to present analyses to a diverse group of stakeholders including data scientists, creatives, and marketing leaders.  

  • Curiosity to dive below the surface and identify important strategic implications in the data.  

  • In-depth knowledge of digital analytics data, measurement, methodologies and industry standards.  

  • Able to balance multiple projects and assignments with a focus on efficiency.  

  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with others 


Technical Skill

  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or other web measurement platforms (Adobe Preferred).  

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake experience preferred 

  • Experience with a scripting language (Python or R) 

  • Proficiency with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools.  

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities cover three pillars:  

i. Digital Analytics:

  • As a data scientist in the Marcom Data Science team, you will work with business partners across multiple marketing functions to provide actionable analysis and insights. 

  • Lead a select number of strategic analyses to provide teams and leaders with actionable insights regarding opportunities to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion.  

  • You will coordinate the production of 360-degree analysis that will involve weaving the output of multiple analytical disciplines, and multiple datasets into a unified analysis.  

ii. New Product Launch Analysis:  

  • You will tackle the analysis of New Product Launches & Services, and how they are received and experienced by customers across multiple touchpoints.  

  • You will create detailed analysis and reporting plans with stakeholders and then coordinate with analytics colleagues and business partners to execute.  

iii. Campaign Performance Analytics:  

  • Partner with Data Scientists across Marcom, Retail, and Operations on projects to increase the sophistication of our experimentation program and deliver deeper insights about marketing performance.  

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with quantitative emphasis. Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or related field.  

  • Master’s Degree desirable.
