CTE Teacher (Arts, Media, and Entertainment) Video Production

Entrepreneur High School San Bernardino (eHigh San Bernardino) is a dynamic charter high school located in Highland, CA, where students don’t just learn about business—they live it. Through project-based learning and interdisciplinary instruction, students launch their own ventures, solve real-world problems, and develop entrepreneurial thinking in every subject.

We are seeking a Video Production AME High School ePathway (Career and Technical Education/CTE) Teacher who brings creativity, innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset to the classroom. This is not a traditional teaching position—this is a chance to inspire the next generation of business-minded thinkers, innovators, and changemakers. Our CTE pathways are taught through the entrepreneurial lens and teaches students to be college and career ready through alignment of the CTE Curriculum Model Standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide instruction in video production, digital editing, cinematography, sound design, directing, screenwriting, live broadcasting, and emerging technologies including (but not limited to) streaming platforms, motion graphics, and virtual production.

Integrate instruction in AI-enhanced content creation, social media strategies, and emerging digital tools relevant to the AME pathway.

Create interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences that merge video production with entrepreneurship, marketing, technology, and storytelling.

Participate in film competitions like Directing for Change and other appropriate film competitions

Serve as a SkillsUSA Advisor or Assistant Advisor, particularly supporting media arts-related competitive events and leadership development.

Be willing to learn and integrate artificial intelligence (AI)  and other innovative technologies relevant to modern media creation.

Guide students through the development, production, and post-production process using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, sound mixing platforms, and other relevant platforms and softwares.

Supervise and mentor students participating in school-based internships, externships, production assignments, and student-led media initiatives.

Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with California CTE AME Standards, with a focus on hands-on media production, collaboration, and performance-based assessment.

Adhere to the 12 Elements of High-Quality College and Career Pathways in California, promoting rigorous academics, technical skills, work-based learning, and student leadership.

Collaborate with academic and career-tech educators to co-develop interdisciplinary curriculum supporting student creativity, enterprise, and civic engagement.

Guide students in exploring career paths in film, television, media marketing, streaming content creation, and digital storytelling, while also teaching general employability skills (e.g., communication, time management, portfolio building, resume writing).

Integrate technology meaningfully into instruction to elevate 21st-century creative skills, media fluency, and production value.

Facilitate internship opportunities, media studio tours, film festivals, guest speaker sessions, and other community and industry-connected experiences.

Manage the annual pathway budget to support curriculum, hardware/software upgrades, studio equipment, and other production-related expenses.
 

Foster a classroom culture that values creativity, experimentation, resilience, collaboration, and reflective critique, essential to the artistic process and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Commit to continuous professional growth by engaging in training, feedback, and current industry trends.

Participate in after-school events such as Student Expo, AME Advisory Committee meetings, CTSO events (SkillsUSA, etc.), showcases, and live productions.
