Furnace Operator - $23 per hour working Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

Description

Continuous monitoring and operation of furnace equipment in the manufacturing processes to ensure production of copper and copper-based products are performed efficiently, safely and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Basic math and reading skills required, High School Diploma preferred

2. Previous experience in powder production, metallurgy, PM components helpful.

3. Can work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.

4. Strong mathematical skills

5. Capable of driving fork-truck

6. Arrive on-time and take pride in job contribution

7. Able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to lift up to 60 lb. pails, bags and boxes.
2. Ability to walk up and down stairs and climb ladders. 
3. Move 500 lb. drums by tipping and rolling.
4. Possesses physical strength and stamina to stand and walk for long periods
5. Good hearing ability around moderate noise conditions.
6. Ability to withstand cold and hot conditions within a plant environment.
7. Ability to distinguish colors with good peripheral vision

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold

2. Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles

3. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, limited.

4. Environment of moving mechanical parts
