The Safety & Cargo Systems business at Collins Aerospace is seeking a passionate, results-driven supply chain leader to join our dynamic team. This is a mission-critical role responsible for overseeing strategy for 650+ suppliers and managing upwards of $500M in spend across 7+ diverse product lines. You'll lead a global supply chain team, including multiple senior leaders and supporting over 130 global team members, all focused on optimizing cost, delivery, and quality across the Safety & Cargo (S&C) business.
As a key decision maker for the Safety and Cargo business, you'll play a central role in setting product cost strategies and shaping operational execution, inclusive of work transfers and value add / value engineering projects. You'll also serve as part of the Interiors Operations Strategy Project Management Team, driving key footprint initiatives aligned with broader Interiors business objectives. In this role, you'll report directly to the Safety & Cargo Systems Supply Chain leader and collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across Programs, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Quality. You'll lead initiatives that directly impact the performance, reliability, and safety of critical systems in service worldwide. This is a U.S. Remote role, with up to 30% travel to ensure operational execution. Key operations and teams are located in Kansas, Arizona, North Dakota, Ohio, West Virginia, India, Germany and the Philippines, as well as a global supply base.
What You Will Do
- Create and execute supply chain strategies that align with Safety & Cargo Systems' cost, delivery, and quality objectives.
- Develop plans to rationalize and localize the supply base in support of key operations.
- Oversee the execution of work transfers and other cost management projects.
- Responsible for monitoring variances to plans and developing corrective actions.
- Proactively forecast and mitigate risks around continuity of supply and cost impacts.
- Review and assess requests for proposals, negotiate prices and authorize purchases.
- Manage complex problems requiring extensive investigation and analysis.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to an executive audience in support of supply chain initiatives.
- Lead a team of primarily experienced supply chain professionals.
- Recruit, motivate, develop and retain an appropriately skilled supply chain team.
- Set objectives and guide the team on a structured approach for achieving results.
- Utilize ability to influence others (including executive leadership) to align on strategies.
- Develop & maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, and suppliers.
- Use feedback on the service provided by the team to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Explain existing policies, best practices and procedures, ensuring the adherence of team to them.
- Lead with a continuous improvement mindset to improve processes and manage key metrics.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience

- Strong executive presence and communication skills

- Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement and/or CORE knowledge
- Supply Chain experience in an international, multi-cultural organization / environment
