Staff Infrastructure Engineer (Remote)
Path Mental HealthAbout the role
Who we are
Path is a healthcare company powered by technology, dedicated to making mental health care work for everyone. Path takes a patient-first approach, where treatment is more accessible, personalized, and effective. With Path, it’s easy to find a high-quality therapist or psychiatric clinician who accepts insurance and is actively accepting new patients.
We are deeply committed to providing high-quality care that improves the lives of patients, investing in the providers who deliver that care, and always operating in an ethical and compliant manner.
What we’re solving
Over 65 million Americans have a treatable mental health issue — that’s 1 in 5 people. Today it’s difficult to find a provider, and for those with complicated conditions, it’s nearly impossible to find coordinated care. There’s a good chance someone close to you could have used the help, even if it wasn’t obvious to the people around them. We’re here to fix this.
Our Mission
Path's mission is to make mental healthcare work for everyone.

As we transition to a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), you'll play a key role in reshaping our systems, ensuring agility and scalability. In our event-driven architecture, we're navigating challenges to protect sensitive data. With the introduction of GraphQL, a Centralized Component Library, and an Authorization Service, you'll be part of our innovative strides. Join us in shaping healthcare's future and making a difference!
About the Role
As a member of Path’s Foundation Engineering team, you will play a key role in developing the architecture that will shape how engineering teams at Path develop and deploy our systems in a fast and scalable way. You’ll work to understand the product roadmap and incorporate it into building and realizing an architectural vision for Path’s infrastructure, as well as the systems and processes that engineering teams will use to manage their software. You will support key business initiatives by building core systems that will power multiple product experiences. This role will be filled with designing, building, and operationalizing reliable end-to-end infrastructure and help integrate it into Path engineering teams. We will also expect you to mentor and grow the members of your team, while taking on broad technical ownership of systems across our product and internal tools.
Technical Stack
Path's systems are written in Typescript/Node.js or Ruby on Rails, with React frontends. We use Postgres for our databases and everything is hosted on AWS. We also make heavy use of existing tools like Salesforce, Airtable, Typeform, etc. This has enabled us to scale very quickly with a small team but we’re now ready to bring much of this work in-house. We’re standing up the technical foundation that will power the future of the company. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have experience with the specific technologies in our stack, we’d still love to connect with you!
