Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on technical support in the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of enterprise databases.
• Participate in technical research and development to enable continuous innovation and system enhancements.
• Ensure that hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation such as configurations, test plans, specifications, and project plans.
• Present complex technical issues and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support database systems running on Windows Server 2016 or HP-UX 11.3.x, including Oracle Database 11g and SQL Server 2012 platforms.
• Perform PL/SQL or T-SQL programming, performance tuning, backup/recovery operations, and secure configuration in compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards​

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience:
• Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field
• Five (5) years’ experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server database administration and analysis support
• Experience with the Windows and HP Unix operating systems (Windows Server 2016 / HP-UX 11.3.x), Oracle Database 11g database technology, PL/SQL programming, Oracle stored procedures, database performance tuning, E-R database design principles and methodology, backup and recovery, systems analysis, security practices and system documentation
• Microsoft Certified personnel experienced and familiar with both Windows 2016 and operating systems, SQL Server 2012 database administration, T-SQL programming, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, systems analysis, security practices and system documentation
• Certifications:
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the Following):
• SSCP
• CySA+
• GICSP
• GSEC
• Security+ CE
• CASP+ CE
• CCNP Security
• CISA
• CISSP (or Associate)
• GCED
• GCIH
• CCSP
• Clearance:
• Must possess a Top-Secret clearance (IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5))
