The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic technical direction for projects, aligning with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
- Architect highly scalable and extensible solutions, leveraging emerging technologies and architectural patterns.
- Lead the technical team in the development of complex systems, providing hands-on guidance and mentoring as needed.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, championing new technologies and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives.
- Establish and enforce rigorous standards for system maintenance, security, and performance optimization.
- Act as a technical evangelist within the organization, promoting a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the technical team in executive-level discussions and strategic planning sessions
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree such as a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is a plus
- Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
- Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
Relevant Work Experience:
- 12 years’ experience in software development, with a focus on:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining .NET-based applications, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints to enable seamless integration between different systems and services
- Utilizing Azure services and platforms to build cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, availability, and security
- Designing and optimizing database schemas, writing efficient SQL queries, and implementing database-related functionalities
- Proven leadership experience in guiding large-scale projects from conception to delivery.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interfacing with senior stakeholders.
- Track record of driving innovation and delivering transformative technical solutions.
