Full time; Come be part of Cooper Clinic's dynamic Medical Transcription team. As part of a multi-dimensional workflow, our medical transcriptionists work to provide a comprehensive report to guide our patients toward improving the quality and quantity of their lives.
 

Medical Transcriptionist Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transcribe physicians’ notes into professional typewritten report in a timely manner (10-day turnaround time).
• Accurately updates internal systems.
• Detects any discrepancies in dictation and edits them accordingly.
• Translates complex medical terms and ensures that the meaning of the reports does not change.
• Develops an extensive knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with a variety of medical documents.
• Scan reports and ensure patient data is correct in EHR.
• Inputting data in non-dictated reports, filing, scanning, tasking and verifying patient information in the EMR.

Requirements

The ideal Medical Transcriptionist candidate will possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One to two years of college or trade school training for medical transcription recommended
• One year of on-the-job experience within a medical or legal office preferred
• Must be well organized and detail oriented
• Must possess excellent communication and listening skills
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently
• Must be able to communicate within team
