Dental Assistant (Part-Time)

Endodontics Associates of East Alabama in Auburn is seeking a skilled, part-time Dental Assistant to join our team and assist us in delivering exceptional care to our patients.  

Our core belief is putting the patient’s needs first, and it underlies every aspect of our practice. The ideal candidate for the part-time Dental Assistant position should possess a natural inclination towards providing compassionate care.  

This part-time Dental Assisant will be scheduled to work full days on Wednesdays and Thursdays (approximately 16 hours per week). 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during a variety of endodontic procedures. 
• Greet and accompany patients for treatment to ensure their comfort.
• Sterilize, maintain, and organize instruments and prepare treatment rooms for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Capture dental X-rays and other scans as needed.
• Enter and complete patient chart notes and documentation.
• Performing office administrative tasks that require the use of a computer. 

Requirements

• 1+ years of Dental Assistant experience is highly preferred. 
• Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program is preferred, but not required. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work full shifts on Wednesdays and Thursdays (16 hours a week).
