We’re looking for a skilled Senior Training Specialist to join Core Quality Services’ Enterprise Training Team. Our team defines and governs Medtronic’s global standards for learning management and reporting systems. We collaborate with IT, manage daily training request administration, and share knowledge broadly to enable accurate assignments, proactive learner support, and regulatory compliance. We prioritize simplicity, data integrity, and standardized workflows to support reliable, scalable training operations. 

This role will focus on representing the business in our work with IT, helping ensure our systems meet compliance, usability, and performance expectations. The role will also drive improvement in the global training platforms and processes our team supports and governs, including Cornerstone Learn (CSOD), the Medtronic-built web application Global Training Assignment Tool (GTAT), our ServiceNow-based portal for managing training-related requests (Ask Training), training-related reporting, and others.  

The ideal candidate understands how training systems support business needs and is confident representing the user perspective in cross-functional work. They are organized, collaborative, and comfortable partnering with IT to ensure tools meet operational and compliance goals. 

Onsite

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate with the IT department to convey business requirements and priorities, offering insights and context to assist in decision-making. 

  • Lead and support projects related to training systems governance, including process improvements, system enhancements, and issue resolution. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for CSOD, GTAT, Ask Training, and training reporting. 

  • Use data-driven problem-solving tools to identify and address opportunities for improvement. 

  • Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused team culture. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations through documentation, audits, and stakeholder engagement. 

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of work experience in Quality or regulated industry OR Advanced degree with 2+ years of work experience in Quality or regulated industry

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated expertise as a business representative in training technologies, ensuring alignment of business requirements with technological capabilities. 

  • Strong understanding of system governance, process improvement, and stakeholder communication. 

  • Experience with enterprise learning management systems (especially CSOD) and/or training request platforms like ServiceNow.

  • Proven ability to manage medium-to-large-scale projects from start to finish. 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, independently and in a team.

  • Familiarity with adult learning theory and how it applies to training program design. 

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, pharma). 

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar experience with process improvement. 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
