Kitchen Personnel

Sanford School Nutrition is seeking a Kitchen Personnel for Sanford Pride Elementary. This part-time position is 5 days per week, 4.5 hours per day, hours are 8:45am-1:45pm.  Food service experience is preferred but not required.  Compensation for this position is between $18.76 - $21.64 per hour depending on experience. 

Kitchen Personnel are responsible for the preparation and service of nutritious, safe meals, utilizing contemporary culinary techniques.

CORE OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate all kitchen machinery and equipment proficiently
• Support meal service periods
• Sanitize kitchen and dining areas, including cookware
• Record daily activities and assist with monthly inventory
• Manage workflow to meet time-sensitive deadlines
• Maintain ethical standards and student privacy
• Execute additional tasks as assigned

COMPLIANCE AND PHYSICAL STANDARDS

• Maintain the stamina to stand for long periods and the strength to lift 40-pounds
• Interpret and adjust recipes accurately to produce consistent culinary results
• Demonstrate exceptional dependability through a consistent record of punctual attendance
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of USDA dietary guidelines and menu requirements
• Exhibit a clear understanding of sanitation protocols and food safety regulations
