We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented 401(k) Recordkeeping Operations Manager to oversee and manage a skilled team of Recordkeeping Operations Associates. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in retirement plan administration, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the retirement plan industry. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our clients' retirement accounts.

- Lead and mentor a team of skilled Recordkeeping Associates
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the team.
- Oversee the daily administration of integral tasks, including, transaction corrections, vesting and source adjustments.
- Monitor and reconcile money movements within both retirement accounts and HI operating accounts.
- Work closely with our custodian bank partners to ensure operational effectiveness between our organizations.
- Collaborate with IT and Product teams to optimize performance and implement necessary upgrades.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and streamline operational procedures.
- Develop and implement audit procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of recordkeeping data.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ASPPA, ERPA, QKA) is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in 401(k) recordkeeping and retirement plan administration, preferably in an operational role.
- 3+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Experience in banking or financial services & reconciliation is preferred
- Strong understanding of IRS and DOL regulations governing retirement plans.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
