About the role

<h2><strong>The Role </strong></h2> <p>Teneo’s Financial Advisory business in New Zealand was established through the acquisition of PwC New Zealand’s Business Restructuring team. The Teneo New Zealand team currently comprises 24 professionals and is expected to continue growing as the business expands. With deep restructuring and insolvency expertise, and an established presence in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, the team delivers integrated, senior-led financial advisory services to clients across New Zealand and the broader Asia-Pacific region.</p> <p>This is your opportunity to join our growing and ambitious team in New Zealand, part of Teneo’s global integrated advisory offering.</p> <p>As a Senior Consultant / Manager you will support the leadership team with: </p> <ul> <li>Client Service – Be a part of project teams on a diverse range of challenging engagements – this will involve advising corporates, creditors and other financial stakeholders on Restructuring Advisory, Contingency Planning and Insolvency projects.</li> <li>Business Development – Support business development activities and generating sales in the market.</li> <li>People and Leadership – Provide guidance and support to team members to create an inclusive environment. </li> </ul> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> </h2> <p>Client Service </p> <ul> <li>Is a key team member working on financial restructuring and insolvency engagements on a day-to-day basis, including managing junior staff.</li> <li>Produces high quality deliverables within planned timescales.</li> <li>Develops ‘distinctive’ client relationships.</li> <li>Supports and contributes to client presentations.</li> <li>Helps to meet team specific performance targets.</li> <li>Applies understanding of financial engagement economics and engagement risk and quality management. </li> </ul> <p>Knowledge Acquisition </p> <ul> <li>Builds client relationship skills, sector knowledge and continues to develop leadership skills.</li> <li>Continues to build technical expertise, broader business advisory and people management skills.</li> <li>Understands the market, topical issues and our Restructuring propositions. </li> </ul> <p>People and Leadership </p> <ul> <li>Supports leadership in creating an inclusive environment.</li> <li>Proactively supports the development of colleagues by providing timely feedback and identifying development opportunities e.g. mentoring/ buddying, supervising less experienced colleagues.</li> <li>Continues to develop personal brand. </li> </ul> <p>Bus
