Position Summary
MissionSupport the manufacture, integration, and test of advanced products and systems that deliver innovative capabilities to our customers. As a Manufacturing Intern, you will contribute to building high-quality, reliable solutions while gaining hands-on experience in real production environments.
Job Description
Role Overview
You will work alongside experienced Manufacturing Engineers to support production, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives across both legacy and new programs. This role provides exposure to the full manufacturing lifecycle—from design support to production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Support Manufacturing Engineers with day-to-day engineering and production tasks
Shadow operations to gain hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and system integration
Assist with new product introduction, engineering changes, and legacy program support
Contribute to process improvements, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and documentation updates
Support design for manufacturability and transition-to-production activities
Help resolve production issues and support engineering development efforts
Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards in all work activities
Communicate effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Strong interest in manufacturing systems, production processes, and engineering operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to learn technical data, drawings, and specifications
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Additional Requirement
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Transportation and housing are not provided for this role. Preference will be given to candidates located in or near Fort Wayne, IN.
