Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel-powered equipment
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and complete proper documentation
  • Respond to emergency equipment failures and execute necessary repairs
  • Carry out steel fabrication and welding tasks as needed
  • Read and interpret technical manuals for maintenance and repair work
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment including meters, welders, and material handling gear
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces
  • Source parts and supplies, and install components on machinery
  • Communicate with vendors to manage equipment maintenance and installations
  • Coordinate with internal teams to schedule maintenance and repairs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in diesel mechanics
  • Proficient in hydraulic systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and industrial maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and contribute effectively to a team
  • Physical capability to:
    • Sit, stand, walk, and climb
    • Carry/lift between 10 and 40 pounds
    • Squat, kneel, bend, and reach overhead
    • Push and pull equipment or tools
  • Willingness to work in varied conditions, including:
    • Exposure to outdoor weather (hot/cold extremes)
    • Proximity to moving equipment and potential noise levels
