Position Purpose: Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects throughout the region.
Essential Responsibilities
§ Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools
§ Replace and repair damaged components
§ Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment
§ Troubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucks
§ Annual DOT and Crane Inspections
§ Perform vehicle preventative maintenance
§ Extensive travel required
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities
§ 2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks
§ Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams
§ Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills
§ Must possess a valid class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
§ Basic understanding of DOT Regulations
§ Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers
§ Good organizational and recordkeeping skills
§ Ability to travel to job sites and provide mechanical oversight to equipment on numerous projects throughout a geographical area
§ Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment
§ Customer service skills
