Sr. Financial Analyst ($96,200 - $122,400)

Position Summary:

Reports to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis.  The Office Financial Planning & Analysis team leads the annual business plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly financial and leasing reporting and portfolio-level strategic analysis for Irvine Company Office Properties.  The Team works in collaboration with property operations, leasing, asset management, development, acquisition, finance and accounting colleagues.

Job Duties:

• Participate in annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.
• Assist in data validation, plan and forecast reviews, create summary reports for budget variances, occupancy and leasing updates, operating expenses and capital  expenditures.
• Work closely with property operations, asset management and leasing teams; provide support and lead communications during the plan and forecast processes.
• Prepare month-end financial reporting, variance analyses and lease reporting.
• Lease modeling in Argus; maintain Argus property files.
• Support IT initiatives and internal process improvements.
• Prepare quarterly benchmarking report data.
• Help to maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including improvement initiatives through software implementation and business intelligence platform development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or related field; MBA a plus.

 

Experience:

• Minimum two years of experience in a real estate finance or analytical role.
• Experience with financial statement analysis and strong understanding of corporate finance concepts.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates critical thinking, curiosity, self-drive, proactiveness, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong organization, collaboration, and high standards of accuracy and precision.
• High ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results.
• Superior in Excel, including strong modeling capability; ARGUS experience preferred, but not required.

 Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $96,200.00 - $122,400.00

 

Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
