In the role of Senior Accounting Manager, you will play an important role in the transition of Uberall´s financial accounting to a scalable, smart and compliant fashion, tackling challenges like dealing with fast pace growth initiatives and the requirement for a fast internalization of work from local financial advisers.This role is an interesting combination of operational and managerial tasks, if you have already led a team this is definitely an advantage but we are also happy to provide training, etc. if that would be your first step into a manager role.

Your responsibilities

• Accounting Operations:
• Oversee and support day-to-day accounting operations for our North American and Philippines entities, including accounts payable, general ledger, revenue recognition, payroll accounting, and tax,
• Manage and support month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness,
• Implement and maintain robust accounting policies and procedures specific to the SaaS industry.
• Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations and filing requirements (US, Canada, Philippines)
• Lead financial and tax audits and implement recommendations
• Team Management:
• Lead and develop your team, providing coaching and performance feedback
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment
• Conduct performance reviews and set clear objectives for team members
• Systems & Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements/automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Your profile

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience as an Accounting Manager (preferably with a focus on SaaS or tech companies)
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of US tax laws, including corporate tax, sales tax, and transfer pricing
• Proficiency in NetSuite
• Proficiency in Excel, Avalara (preferred), and FloQast (preferred)
• Self-starter with the ability to act and operate independently
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities
• Experience managing a fully remote team
