WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Independently plan, execute, analyze, and report on experiments to support the preclinical development of novel T-cell therapy products across multiple pipeline programs
- Perform in vitro cell-based functional assays (cytotoxicity, cytokine, proliferation, etc.) for CAR T cell therapeutic candidate selection
- Design, execute, and analyze flow cytometry experiments for CAR T cell product
- Characterization
- Support engineered T cell production activities (e.x. gene editing, T cell culture, cryopreservation, cell thawing)
- Culture both engineered primary T cell and suspension/adherent cell lines
- Support IND-enabling preclinical studies
- Assist effectively with cross-functional activities for project teams, including hand-offs,
- data analysis, and presenting at project meetings
- Maintain an up-to-date and detailed electronic lab notebook
WHO YOU ARE
- PhD in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or a related field with up to 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree in these fields with at least 5 years of industry experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 7 years of industry experience. Experience in the industry is preferred, and knowledge of CAR T cell therapy is a plus.
- Excellent mammalian cell culture skills are required
- Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, panel design, and data analysis is required, and expertise in this area is highly preferred
- Experience with immunological assays, such as cytokine/chemokine analysis (e.x.
- ELISA orLuminex) and cytotoxicity, is highly preferred
- Proficiency using data analysis tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism is highly preferred.
- Experience mentoring/supervising junior research technicians is preferred
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills for changing research priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player in a collaborative environment and coordinate tasks across multiple projects to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, record-keeping, and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Growth Mindset with the ability to think outside the box, a creative approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to accept responsibilities outside of the initial job description
- Passionate drive to accomplish work with a positive attitude Preferred Skills:
- Experience with primary T cell culture
- Experience with CRISPR gene editing and cell engineering workflows
- Experience with Incucyte live cell imager
- Experience with semi-automated pipetting workflows (e.x. Integra VIAFLO)
