The Team:
Based in Launceston, the team within the Office of the Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) undertakes junior medical officer (JMO) and locum recruitment, provides a credentialling service, allocates and rosters JMOs and locums, and provides medical education and workforce support services across Hospitals North.
The Role:
- Coordinate and lead the activities of the Office of the EDMS Hospitals North.
- Provide direction to staff and day-to-day supervision of the Office's administrative functions.
- Assist the EDMS as required with processes such as JMO and locum recruitment, allocation and rostering, the credentialling of medical officers, and medical education and workforce support activities.
- Undertake quality improvement activities in relation to the Office of EDMS Hospitals North, ensuring processes and activities adhere to all relevant legislative provisions and policies.
- Liaise and communicate with Hospitals North teams and services, as well as with other stakeholders as required.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker (not working weekends but working public holidays) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 2 June 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
