Program Engineer 3 (Test/EQ)

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for design engineering of electrical systems. Additionally, oversees and coordinates workflows and schedules with designated subcontractors. Possesses excellent knowledge of functional disciplines and their practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Responsible for making technical decisions in regards to electrical system design and application to ensure compliance with authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) regulatory criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation and/or review of electrical system design work products such as, single-line diagrams, equipment requirement specifications, system requirement specifications, system design descriptions, engineering studies, engineering reports, inspection, test, analysis & acceptance criteria (ITAAC) and associated calculations.
- Reconcile regulatory requirements, codes and standards between foreign and domestic electrical system design work products.
- Coordinates the design of electrical systems within project plans and goals.
- Perform independent design review of sub-contractor work products.
- Stays abreast of industry product development and utilizes best practices to provide company with highest quality products.
- Perform interdisciplinary review of work products of interfacing disciplines.
- Reviews and establishes project requirements, develops project schedules and coordinates their implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Quality Assurance: Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (power option preferred), from a four year ABET (MRA/MOU) accredited college or university, is required. A professional engineer license registration or advanced degree is considered.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience within commercial nuclear power, in a design and/or systems engineering organization, is required. Naval nuclear power experience may be credited
