MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

Bala Cynwd, PA

We are a fast-paced urology practice seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized medical receptionist to join our team in Bala Cynwd, PA. Candidate must be a quick learner, use good judgment, and have great customer service skills. In this role, you will assist with patient check-in/out, insurance verification, patient scheduling and other duties for the office. Must be available Monday through Friday. Essential functions include but are not limited to:

• Perform a wide variety of clinical and patient care activities for the providers
• Confirm patient's medical coverage
• Receive co-pays for medical appointments prior to patients being treated
• Schedule appointments for patients either on the phone or during the check out process
• Take clinical calls from patients to forward to the proper provider
• Document everything in Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR) system
• Manage messages from patients with provider
• Manage provider medication refill tab

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One-year customer service experience required
• Healthcare registration or admitting experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with health care billing and authorization preferred
