The Department of Conservation and Recreation’s mission is to protect, promote and enhance our

Division of Operations:
As the largest team within the DCR structure, the Division of Operations is the cornerstone of the agency. Home to Park Operations, Universal Access programming, Park and State House Rangers, Fleet, and Interpretive
programming, the Division of Operations is a main driver the agency’s core principles of outdoor recreation for all and creating future stewards. Through visitor engagement, educational programming, and lots of behind-the-scenes work, Operations keeps the network of state parks open, accessible, and welcoming for all.
The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Program Manager VI, Assistant Regional Director for the Central Region.

The Assistant Regional Director is responsible for the overall direction, operation and continuous improvement of all functions of the Central Region of State Parks. The incumbent leads and oversees all day-to-day operations to assure they meet critical operational needs, quality control standards, legal and financial obligations, safety goals and administration commitments. Oversee the work of the District Managers to ensure compliance with all region wide operation programs and support them in their management of their District. The Assistant Regional Director supports the Regional Director in implementation of all Region wide initiatives and programs. The Assistant Regional Director contributes to a work environment that fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, collaboration, and the understanding of working toward a common goal.

Manages the operation and maintenance of all regional assets and personnel including reservations, parks, parkways, playground
