<p><strong>Deadline Date: </strong>Friday 11 August 2023</p> <p><strong>Requirement: </strong>Senior Technician (infrastructure)</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Naples, IT</p> <p><strong>Full time on-site</strong>: Yes</p> <p><strong>Time On-Site: </strong>100% <a rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener"> </a></p> <p><strong>NATO Grade:</strong> A/44</p> <p><strong>Total Scope of the request</strong> (hours): 700</p> <p><strong>Required Start Date:</strong> 25 September 2023 </p> <p><strong>End Contract Date:</strong> 31 December 2023</p> <p><strong>Required Security Clearance:</strong> NATO SECRET</p> <p><strong>Duties and Role: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Installs, assists in the programming, configuration, operation and maintenance of active/passive networking equipment;</li> <li>Responsible for the engineering/installation of fibre and CAT-type cabling (i.e. CAT-5/6/7) as used with automated information systems and other infrastructure equipment;</li> <li>Assists with interconnections to NATO, national and commercial providers POPs;</li> <li>Maintains local Cable Management database.</li> <li>Participates in incident management, problem management and change management processes.</li> <li>Contributes to the service assets and configuration management;</li> <li>Reports on equipment serviceability;</li> <li>Conducts routine testing of all standby systems for power failures, A/C failures, disaster and other contingencies in coordination with hosting HQ;</li> <li>Liaises with local HQ's support authorities for facility maintenance and upkeep, power and cooling provisioning and maintains power requirements plans.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Skill, Knowledge &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance</li> <li>Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience;</li> <li>Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience;</li> <li>Minimum 2 years recent experience performing Fiber and CAT 5+ cabling;</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of network configuration and troubleshooting on CISCO routers and Switches;</li> <li>Administration of automated network control and monitoring tools such as Spectrum and CISCO IOS;</li> </ul>
