Job Description

The Director, People Inclusion will be responsible for managing and aligning people inclusion strategy’s development, deployment, communication, and operations initiatives for our US and global functions.  This position will sync our global inclusion strategy with our business goals by building the overall approach to embed leadership, development and talent management practices across functions, support function action plans, and providing strategic leadership on policies, practices and change management in inclusion. In addition, this role will support our lifecycle of hiring, promotion, and retention that build high performing teams in partnership with People Solutions (COEs). 

This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Global People Inclusion and will have several stakeholders across the Global People, US leadership and global functions.  

 

In this role, you will:

Design and execute approaches to measure and track progress by leveraging dashboards and scorecards for analysis, planning, and storytelling across the talent lifecycle of sourcing, hiring, onboarding, promotion and development linked to functional plans.

Align Inclusion strategy with McDonald’s overall strategy to ensure work activities are linked to overall business goals.

Develop effective and inclusive leaders equipped to help talent excel in their careers and support our business growth with emphasis on leadership accountability and a meaningful cultural experience for all employees.

Enable People Partners (HRBPs) with best practice tools and resources for supporting an inclusive and equitable end to end employee experience.

Stay current on the changing landscape of diversity, equity and inclusion to provide expertise of inclusion strategies and interventions for the US and global corporate functions.

Use data and insights to inform decisions, recommendations and actions aligned to Global Inclusion practices and plans across global functions.

Facilitate global partnerships and investments with key global strategic partnerships to with work of the different markets across the system (US, IOM, IDLM)

Manage one direct report at the Manager level who will help support the US and corporate strategies.

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260- $190,310 per year

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred master’s degree in HR or related field
  • Senior level expertise across variety of communications methods with an excellent ability to engage with people at all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record to design, implement, and execute initiatives for scale and sustainability
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives through reliability, ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts, and maintain discretion
  • Experience working cross-culturally with varied colleagues in a global environment with solid influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills to champion and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, subordinates and other key partners
  • Outstanding proficiency in mentoring, influencing and teambuilding.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge to drive the utilization of technology and digital platforms.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the organization on DE&I topics, both internally and externally
