We are looking for talented, high-performing team players to join our principal sales team. As an Principal Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving complex sales cycles, focusing on the needs of large organizations and public companies. You will leverage your deep understanding of BILL solutions, including the associated finance and risk models to address customer pain points and deliver tailored solutions.

You will be sourcing and managing high-value leads, converting them into long-term clients, and navigating the complexities of enterprise sales. This team’s mission is to move BILL's revenue org up-market through direct sales, partnerships, and API/platform opportunities. This team will work extensively with several key cross-functional partners; Finance, Risk, Engineering, Analytics, Legal, Marketing etc. The ability to work with and have a deep understanding of each key partner's business line will be critical to the success of our Principal team. The role will require a willingness to build and push the envelope of our product offering while consistently hitting aggressive quarterly spend targets. 

Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company:

  • Manage a variety of enterprise-level leads, including personally sourced leads, marketing nurtured, with a focus on large accounts and complex sales cycles.
  • Identify sales opportunities through direct prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and partner relationships within the enterprise segment. (90%+ of new leads will be sourced personally in an outbound/partner function.)
  • Lead the sales process from qualification, needs analysis, and product demonstration to negotiation and closing, with a focus on multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Understand API functionality and value proposition to ideal customer profiles (ICP/ICP-/ICP +) to ensure effective sales communication and long-term relationships that will drive millions in payment volume.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of BILL's products, with a specific focus on their application within finance and risk management frameworks.
  • Understand the territory, marketplace, competitive offerings, and other business issues relevant to high-stakes payment sales.
  • Effectively manage your time to maximize results, focusing on high-value opportunities within your book of business.
  • Document daily sales activities in Salesforce, prepare accurate reports and forecasts, manage a complex pipeline, and perform other tasks necessary to drive sales revenue. Communicate activities to sales management.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Sales experience in a closing role, with a focus on high-value, complex sales cycles, at fintech and/or payments driven orgs.
  • A proven track record of being in the top 10%
  • Experience sourcing outbound leads and managing long-term sales cycles within large organizations.
  • Expertise in financial models and risk assessment as they pertain to spend and expense management, enabling you to consult effectively with C-level executives.
  • Experience with best-in-class tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and Tableau.
  • Preferred: Experience in a cross-collaborative environment with lead generation, Implementation/Success, Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal teams.
