Pay Range:
$115,900.00 - $190,450.00Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting to lead our revenue recognition processes and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (ASC 606). The ideal candidate will oversee revenue accounting operations, manage complex revenue transactions, collaborate closely with finance, sales, and legal teams, and provide strategic insights to support business objectives. This role requires strong technical expertise in revenue recognition, leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in an evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the revenue accounting team, providing mentoring, training, and professional development.
Support month-end processes related to revenue.
Oversee recognition of revenue according to applicable standards, including complex arrangements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Finance, and IT) to assess contract terms and revenue arrangements, providing guidance on revenue recognition policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies related to revenue.
Review and validate accounting entries, reconciliations, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with royalty and commissions contracts.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices related to revenue recognition.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in related field and 8-10 years of progressive relevant experience 5 or more years management experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Proven expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and experience applying them in complex contract environments.
Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience in contracts with multiple performance obligations and royalties is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
Onsite work required during standard business hours.
