Certified Medical Assistant-Patch Tester

General Summary: A non-exempt position responsible for providing technical support for lab patch testing operations. The position is based out of the CAAC South Park location but must have the ability to travel to all clinic locations within the company as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Facilitates Patch Testing for South Park clinic.
2. Maintains established par levels of equipment.
3. Ensures safe and efficient lab testing and to ensure compliance with practice parameters.
4. Collaborates with laboratory manager to create, implement, and facilitate policies and procedures.
5. Assists with training of new hires and/or existing clinical employees specific to patch testing.
6. Provides coverage in clinical area when needed.
7. Facilitates patient patch test read results to satellite offices within company.
8. Complies with all quality assurance policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control.
9. Ability to perform duties as clinical staff.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), medical office assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting. Current documentation of a national certification for the registered medical assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or for the certified assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of nine months of clinical experience, preferred one year of clinical experience.

Other Requirements: Must possess a current CPR certification and current health records with the appropriate immunizations to work in the health care field (hepatitis B and tuberculosis).
