The role

We're currently seeking a highly skilled Workato Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in harnessing Workato to automate business processes, integrate various applications, and streamline workflows. As a Workato Expert, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our organization's efficiency and productivity through the effective implementation and management of Workato solutions.

Where you’ll work

You must be located in the US to be considered for this position. You’ll have the flexibility to choose between remote work (State permitting) or working from our office in Cleveland.

What you’ll be doing

  • Designing, developing, and implementing Workato recipes to automate business processes and integrate disparate systems and applications.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient Workato solutions.

  • Transforming architectural designs for customer integrations and automation into recipe designs and builds.

  • Documenting current recipes, processes, recipe-build checklists, and best practices.

  • Developing, unit testing, and deploying recipes that adhere to Workato delivery best practices.

  • Configuring and customizing Workato connectors, triggers, actions, and transformations to meet specific business needs.

  • Monitoring and maintaining existing Workato integrations, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary updates and optimizations.

  • Providing technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on Workato's best practices, capabilities, and limitations.

  • Staying updated on the latest Workato features, enhancements, and industry trends to continuously improve integration solutions.


What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience as a Workato Developer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing Workato integrations.

  • In-depth knowledge of Workato platform features, including connectors, recipes, transformations, and debugging techniques.

  • Experience with advanced recipes that are highly reusable and leverage real-time technologies (e.g., events, webhooks).

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby, with the ability to write custom code when necessary to extend Workato functionality.

  • Strong understanding of API integration concepts, RESTful APIs, and authentication methods.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues independently.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
