Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr Controls Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 38000 Hills Tech Drive, Farmington Hills, MI 48331. Engage in all phases of development like concept creation till release to customer. Act as direct contact with external automotive customers, as well as Bosch Group internal customers, participate in program review meetings, interface studies, design review. Dive deep into analysis of hardware-software interfaces and systems optimization possibilities. Perform rapid prototyping to support functional requirement development. Develop manual and model-based code according to specification. Develop automated test software for software testing. Test and validate new software features in the vehicle, on an engine dynamometer, on a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and/or Model-in-the-Loop (MiL). Debug/troubleshoot software using automotive market specific and generic tools. Interact closely with customers to define and develop customized software solutions according to the customer needs, supported by the engineering team located across the globe. Act as direct contact with external automotive customers, as well as Bosch Group internal customers. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software System Designer or another occupation involving software development and debugging tools. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Automotive embedded control units; (2) AUTOSAR, MATLAB or Simulink; (3) ASCET, LabVIEW or Lauterbach; (4) Embedded C, assembly, or Linux; (5) Software languages and operating systems (real time OS, C, or embedded C); (6) Controls for electrified powertrain (hybrid and full electric) and automotive connectivity/connected mobility; (7) Rapid prototyping and simulation environments (Dspace, Ehooks, No-hooks or others); and (8) Mechanical, electrical and software intensive systems in the automotive industry.
