The Job

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports accounting operations by entering invoices, reconciling vendor statements, assisting in month-end closing processes, and communicating with vendors.

Requirements

The Opportunity

• Maintain timely invoice entry by processing daily invoice receipts and routing to appropriate managers 
• Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices 
• Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests.
• Prepare electronic transfers and payments 
• Reconcile monthly AP vendor statements and analyze IRNB account 
• Assist in maintaining the accounts payable inbox with an emphasis on exceptional vendor communication and relationships 
• Enter approved invoices for payment, and credit card receipts submitted by managers 
• Assist in monthly credit card entries and receipt retrieval 
• Provide supporting documentation for audits 
• Other duties as assigned 

The Must Haves

• 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable or finance environment
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and is reliable
• Ability to work independently

The Nice to Haves

• Experience in retail, wholesale or e-commerce environments
• High School Diploma or GED
