The Senior Payroll Coordinator is responsible for all processes related to payroll.

 

This position is a temp to perm position requiring 5 days in-office to train for the first 90 days, then requiring in-office 3 times per week. Monday through Friday 8:30-5pm.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for notifying all employees of the timecard deadline each pay period.
  • Post edits, payroll adjustments and corrections.
  • Enter bonuses, retro pay and shift differential pay into ADP.
  • Responsible for preparing a reconciliation of approved hours to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Assist with the review of the pre-process register to ensure accuracy of payroll data.
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries and questions regarding pay.
  • Receives and opens the payroll package.
  • Responsible for mailing payroll checks.
  • Runs reports from ADP report writer.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Qualifications

  • A.S. Degree and 3 years experience in ADP Workforce Now.   Experience with ADP Enhanced Time and Attendance preferred.
  • Strong Excel spreadsheet and computer skills. i.e. import spreadsheets into ADP.
  • Ability to communicate articulately and knowledgeably with all levels of internal staff and outside constituencies.
  • Must be well-organized and willing to learn and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Needs to demonstrate good customer service skills.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
