Job Summary:

The Procurement Systems Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and administering procurement systems, processes, and policies. Providing user training and on-going support to ensure high levels of user adoption and satisfaction. Assessing the procurement function’s overall effectiveness and driving continuous process/systems improvement initiatives.

Primary Duties (5-7 Key responsibilities)
  • Lead the cross functional development and implementation of an enterprise-wide eSourcing solution. Includes technical and functional requirements gathering, vendor selection, vendor management, solution design, implementation, on-going system administration, process governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Align and collaborate with business executives of all related functional areas to understand business strategies, needs of the business, and develop processes, systems and policies to drive optimal value out of the procurement function. 
  • Act as the key liaison between the technical and functional leads to ensure requirements are met as new systems are implemented and upgrades are made to existing systems.
  • Responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of new software releases and enhancements on a periodic basis and will test accordingly prior to placing into production. Communicate enhancements to the organization and lead training on an as needed basis.
  • Monitor and leverage industry best-practices and drive continuous process improvement efforts to ensure Dorman’s procurement processes and systems are driving industry-leading performance and value.
  • Design, develop, improve, and document key procurement processes across the organization
  • Lead cross functional and cross SBU projects and initiatives to align procurement synergies to drive results through the business
  • Train procurement organization on new systems, tools, and process improvements
  • Train and onboard new team members in the procurement specialist role
  • Perform other supply chain related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of best practices in the area of spend analytics, category management, sourcing, productivity management, supplier performance, and supply chain risk management.
  • Experience implementing new supply chain systems and processes with best of breed solutions is strongly desired. Experience with Zycus, GEP or Jaeger procurement software is preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership and team building skills to integrate and motivate people from different organizations to work together in achieving process objectives and project goals.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate and control multiple process and or projects, achieving on-time implementation to satisfy the operating requirements of the Company.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively and accurately convey detailed and complex information regarding contract specifications, policies and procedures.
  • Must have experience in effectively establishing supply chain strategy and decision criteria and in bringing decisions to closure while demonstrating business acumen and good judgment.
  • Computer skills should include proficiency in MS Office including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and other database tools.
  • Physical Requirement:

Education And/Or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Accounting or Engineering. MBA or equivalent background is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a supply chain professional.
