CPH is seeking a talented MEP Intern with either a focus in electrical or mechanical engineering to join our team in Sanford, FL!
 
The Mechanical/Electrical Intern will assist the MEP team by supporting with various tasks and projects to gain practical experience in Mechanical / Electrical engineering. This position provides practical, hands -on experience and is ideal for students or recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to develop professional skills, and experience.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations and tasks within the department.
  • Provide support for ongoing projects by completing assigned tasks and contributing to project goals.
  • Participate in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Help in data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports or presentations.
  • Work closely with MEP team, including meetings and collaborating on project tasks.
  • Communicate effective with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Seek guidance and feedback for mentor. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Comfortable working and collaborating with cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/ mechanical engineering principles. 
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is a plus.
  • Course work in power / energy (Electrical Engineering) or thermodynamics / fluid mechanics (Mechanical Engineering) is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
Education & Experience: 
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Engineering Program. 
  • Basic knowledge in industry standards and best practices. 
  • Prior internship or hands-on experience in an engineering setting is a plus.
