Job Description:​​

To serve as a professional advisor for the School of Education with a focus on retention of teacher candidates, specifically in the following candidate cohorts and partnerships: para-to-programs, residencies/apprenticeships, special education grant pipeline, and transfer pathways.​ 

Minimum Qualifications ​​

• An earned bachelor's degree in education or related field plus two years of professional experience in related education field such as teacher preparation or classroom practitioner.

• Demonstrates organizational and documentation skills.

• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills via written and verbal communication.

• Possesses knowledge of elevated technological skills working with spreadsheets, databases, and workflows.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under time restraints.

• Demonstrated commitment or proven strategies for fostering a diverse and inclusive environment; demonstrated ability or proven strategies to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.​ 

Preferred Qualification  ​​

• Preference for education licensure

• Experience in teacher preparation

• Experience in supervision of clinical experiences

• Student-centered approach to education and commitment to helping grow the Education program

• Demonstrated skills in collaboration, consensus building, and achieving mutual goals with colleagues an understanding of and appreciation for liberal education​
