Full-time: 40 Hours Per Week

Primary Team Leader: Store Manager

FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Benefits Eligible

Location: Lenexa ReStore

JOB SUMMARY: Support all sales operations of the store with excellent customer service. Work in partnership with the rest of the team to ensure the efficient sales and support of all customer transactions on the floor and at the cash registers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a consistent, positive experience for all customers and volunteers
• Enforce store sales policies and procedures
• Operate the cash register with appropriate cash handling policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety rules
• Maintain proper paperwork for administrative needs (training logs, reports, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Ability to accurately work a cash register and handle customer financial transactions
• Strong customer service skills
• Friendly, outgoing, helpful attitude
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Honesty and integrity in handling retail sales revenue
• Basic math skills with computer and cash register literacy
• Maturity, responsibility and reliability to perform with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of building materials and home improvement a plus
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with limited climate controls
• Bilingual ability is helpful, but not required

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years cashier experience desired
• 18 years or older

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a consistent basis and spend majority of day on foot
• Ability to work at heights up to 10 feet
• Must be able to stand for prolonged duration, walk, climb, bend and squat

Individual may be required to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface at various times throughout the day. The individual may reach above shoulder heights or below the waist or lift as required to file documents, store materials or move materials on the job site throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. Individual may be subject to intermittent moderate noise levels.
