About Shriners Children's Portland
Shriners Children’s Portland is a nationally ranked pediatric specialty hospital where hope and healing meet. Located on the Oregon Health & Science University campus just minutes from downtown Portland, the hospital is a 29‑bed inpatient facility and a major tertiary referral center for children across the Pacific Northwest.
The team provides exceptional care for pediatric orthopedic conditions, cleft lip and palate, and spinal cord injuries, supported by a collaborative group of 7 pediatric anesthesiologists. The surgical suite includes three operating rooms serving 13 orthopedic surgeons as well as part‑time consultants in oral, plastic, and general surgery.
With onsite orthotics and prosthetics, a motion analysis lab, an active clinical research program, and robust telehealth services, the hospital offers comprehensive, family‑centered care. Shriners Children’s Portland uses Epic as its EMR and maintains strong partnerships with OHSU and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. Job Overview
Join our expanding team at Shriners Children's Portland as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and play a crucial role in providing exceptional care for infants, children, and adolescents.We're seeking a full-time board-certified/eligible Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our all-physician anesthesia group dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and resident training. You'll have the opportunity to develop and expand regional anesthesia skills, and collaborate with a group of Pediatric Anesthesiologists dedicated to providing quality, safe care to children experience a range of common and complex medical and orthopedic needs.
As an all-physician group, our pediatric anesthesiologists provide direct care to patients undergoing a variety of orthopedic procedures including complex spine and hip surgery. In addition, our team provides anesthesia care to patients undergoing cleft lip and palate, oral and maxillofacial, plastics, and Nuss procedures. This position is structured as a 1.0 FTE full‑time role, and we strongly prefer candidates seeking a full‑time commitment. However, we are open to considering applicants interested in a reduced schedule down to a minimum of 0.8 FTE. The role includes rotating home call responsibilities one week out of every six, with no night, weekend, or holiday coverage otherwise.
