This is accomplished by balancing our growth and revenue targets with appropriate risk oversight, policies, guidelines and limits, as well as support provided by risk management professionals.</p><p></p><p>The Risk Superstructure Group within ERM is focused on the top-down risk oversight for State Street’s activities across business areas and risk types. The group is responsible for consolidated risk reporting and communication to senior management and the Board of Directors; material and emerging risk identification; and risk assessments for cross-cutting areas of risk.</p><p></p><p><b>Who we are looking for</b>: The group is seeking a highly qualified individual to support the ongoing development of State Street’s risk management capabilities with a primary focus on State Street’s Climate Risk program and additional support provided to the Risk Identification, Risk Aggregation and Reporting programs. </p><p></p><p><b>Major responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Performing exploratory research to support the identification of new risk measurement methodologies and frameworks,</li><li>Supporting the development of new models and risk assessments,</li><li>Conducting model validation activities for both new and existing models</li><li>Executing models and confirming results using documented procedures for running the models</li><li>Supporting the planning, development, and execution of scenario analyses,</li><li>Managing project plans,</li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization, and supporting the production of senior management-level updates and presentation materials for various forums including, the Chief Risk Officer and senior Management- and Board-level risk governance committees.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we value:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrable track record of independent decision making, along with strong written and oral communication and presentational skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently</li><li>Demonstrated high energy and strong motivation to add value to the organization</li><li>Willingness to work with others on the team on special projects</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications and Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred</li><li>Strong <span>technical/analytical/quantitative</span> skills; advanced capabilities in Excel and basic programming (e.g., R, Python) skills are a plus</li><li>Strong writing and critical thinking skills</li><li>Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and develop solutions in nascent or emerging areas</li><li>The ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment</li><li>Ability to support creation of effective presentations on results of key initiatives</li><li>Detail oriented approach, with focus on delivering high standard of quality and accuracy</li><li>Project management skills, including coordination with key stakeholders across the organization</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Are you the right candidate?
